Free Yoga in Kansas City

Pop-Up Yoga Kansas City, founded by yoga teacher Lauren Leduc is subtly taking the city by storm! Inspired by unseasonably warm weather, three weeks ago Leduc offered a free yoga class on the lawn of the Nelson Museum that attracted about 50 students. Now, three weeks later her free yoga class (cash donation optional) has grown immensely and encompasses every demographic Kansas City has to offer.

Prior to her last event, Leduc combined efforts with Body Fit SEVA Society and encouraged the 175 attendees to bring a donation for “Harvesters” which amounted to over 230 pounds of food delivered to Harvesters’ door that afternoon.

Leduc and her roaming group of free yoga-lovers will continue to “Pop-Up” in highly visible and unexpected outdoor settings all over Kansas City now through the fall.   With her “Pop-Up Yoga” group, Leduc intends to build awareness about the positive effects of yoga, bring diverse groups together and build a stronger community.

Where will they Pop-Up next?

On Saturday, March 28th at 2pm, 150+ yogis will meet at Liberty Memorial for a free (all-levels Vinyasa Yoga class donation optional).  All ages and experience levels are welcome.  Bring water, a mat or towel, sunscreen, and friends! That’s 2pm at the Liberty Memorial on the South Lawn, 100 W. 26th Street, KCMO.
